Peter Gonzalez
Chief Executive Officer
Peter Gonzalez has been instrumental in the growth and success of Awesome Smiles since joining the practice leadership team in 2018. With an extensive background in technology, healthcare administration, and business development, Peter helps oversee the operations, innovation, and strategic growth of the practice.
His commitment to patient experience and operational excellence has helped support the continued expansion of Awesome Smiles while ensuring patients receive the highest level of service and care. Peter works closely with Dr. Tracy Provenghi and the clinical team to continually improve processes, enhance technology, and create an environment where patients feel welcomed and valued.
Outside of work, Peter enjoys writing and composing music, weightlifting, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Gisela Guillen, CDA
Lead Dental Assistant
Gisela Guillen has been a valued member of Dr. Provenghi’s team since 2004 and serves as the Lead Dental Assistant at Awesome Smiles. Born and raised in El Paso, Gisela developed a passion for dentistry early in her career and has dedicated herself to helping patients feel comfortable and cared for during their visits.
Known for her leadership, attention to detail, and commitment to patient care, Gisela oversees the clinical support team and plays an important role in maintaining the high standards patients have come to expect from Awesome Smiles. She also enjoys mentoring new team members and helping guide future dental professionals as they begin their careers.
Gisela takes pride in building relationships with patients and helping create the friendly, welcoming atmosphere that defines the Awesome Smiles experience. When she’s not at the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, caring for her dogs, shopping, and, of course, enjoying her favorite Starbucks coffee.
